it’s not hate speech – but it is douche-ish – about a 2 out of 10 on the douche-ometer. Only because it’s trying so very hard to be too cool for school.
He is a very sexy guy. It’s a shame he does not use the social influence that his sexiness grants him, to make the lives he affects through his behaviour fuller.
totally Todd. It’s such a pity that there is no humility in his manner. What he doesn'[t realise is how many lost opportunities through doors into others’ worlds he’s missing.
You can’t know what you don’t see – and he won’t see anything much but a hot abs, sexy v and crotch – until age humbles him as it must all of us, ultimately.
It’s through relationship with others, not an attachment to an object, that we find a path into a new world of opportunities –
It’s an awesome site – I’ve just found it and I can’t wait until debate fires up once a few douchbags show up to defend homophobia, racism, hate speech and all the rest
What’s douchey is that he’s got a 200 characters space to tell others about himself, and that’s how he’s using it. Apparently there’s nothing more to his personality than that…
VicHealth framework for reducing race-based discrimination
Building on our strengths: our framework for reducing race-based discrimination and supporting diversity.
This framework was developed to guide the work of VicHealth and others in taking action to address race-based discrimination and support cultural diversity. Building on our strengths was developed through a partnership between VicHealth, the Onemda VicHealth Koori Health Unit, the McCaughey Centre: VicHealth Centre for the Promotion of Mental Health and Community Wellbeing (University of Melbourne) and the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission.
Drawing on the latest Australian and international research, the framework identifies:
key factors that contribute to race-based discrimination and intolerance of diversity
actions that can be taken to address these factors
priority settings for projects and programs (such as local government and sports clubs).
Building on our strengths outlines how reducing race-based discrimination can help to improve the health of Indigenous Victorians and culturally diverse communities, while achieving social and economic benefits for all.
The framework is based on the understanding that no single factor causes discrimination; that there are a range of factors. These include:
the beliefs and behaviours of individuals
the ways in which our organisations and communities work
broader influences, such as the media and community leaders.
The framework recognises that the patterns of race-based discrimination affecting Indigenous Australians are both similar to, and distinct from, those affecting people from culturally diverse backgrounds. Thus, it emphasises the importance of acknowledging these differences when designing specific strategies for organisations and communities.
Download the framework from our publications site.
These are all PDF files, so you’ll get a copy of the reports straight away.
The report provides a LOT of information about racism and discrimination (types of discrimination), the effects of discrimination (health, economic, societal, etc) and of course VicHealth’s framework to address and reduce discrimination in Victoria.
They have community (pilot) projects running in Shepparton and Whittlesea.
And they have an arts projects addressing race-based discrimination and supporting diversity (called Arts About Us) all across Victoria – in Melbourne, Springvale, Brimbank, etc.
I’ve noticed there are a lot of various groups involved in the arts project and while there may be a few queer people involved – there isn’t a group from the queer community – maybe you could raise this matter with any GLBT group that you know?
Anyway — be assured that there are people out there that are genuinely living their lives to make a more just, caring and harmonious Australia and you can be a part of the good work they are doing too.
Don’t just focus on the ignorant toxic people that you are trying to educate — remember that you can also help by making marginalized individuals feel welcomed and accepted into Australia — like a Syrian refugee who sought asylum in Australia because he was being persecuted in his country. These are among the people we need to reach out and help the most.
Anyway, hope to meet up with you and BJC soon, yeah.
nup, arrogant blockophilia is subsumed into douche-ism.
No doubt his friends who know him would say ‘oh, he’s a nice guy. He’s got a vulnerable side. He’s arrogant because if he’s too friendly, everyone hits on him’.
Dzzzzt!
No doubt he does have a vulnerable side, but if he needs to be dismissing, rude and condescending in his manner – he’s using shame, irresponsibly, shaming people gratuitously, to puff himself up.
Yeah, azul, I love your spunk and I agree with your position. But the mega cut-n-paste into every post is pretty tiring. If the haters didn’t read it the first time, they aren’t going to read it the other 20 times you post it.
I woke up with 38 messages today. If I don’t use the block button this will happen all the time. Would you rather me bitch you out and tell you why I don’t want to talk to you or just block you? The block button is made for a reason.
And you have infinite blocks if you buy Xtra for you cheapos out there.
“It’s such a pity that there is no humility in his manner. What he doesn’[t realise is how many lost opportunities through doors into others’ worlds he’s missing.”
“It’s through relationship with others, not an attachment to an object, that we find a path into a new world of opportunities –”
Newsflash, idjit: Neither he nor 99.5% of Grindr users are looking for “doors into others’ worlds” or “a new world of opportunities.” he just wants to get off with someone he thinks is hot.
if you are young, white, tall, and have a decent body, you will know from experience that simply stating what you do want on grindr does nothing. overweight men will tell you “masc build,” then hem and haw for 15 minutes before revealing a 42 inch waist.
if i say that i find blondes really attractive, i will get countless chats from asians and black guys who are convinced that they are the “exception” and feel entitled to demand “Face pics?”
For a website he hates Adam sure hangs around here a lot! I think he thinks he’s doing a public service… By liking hos own posts and saying the same thing…
But I think a lot of guys updates these stupid profiles when they’re drunk Orton drugs which would explain a lot.
Oh, Tippy, or whatever your screen name is this week,
Again, how could I POSSIBLY hate a site that proves me right, every single time?
Further, why do you keep responding? Because the truth hurts. Prove me wrong.
I repeat myself, because the truth is applicable to all of your whining, petty BS.:)
So, again, do what it takes to get the kind of man you want, or continue to be that pissed off, rejected effeminate in the corner, because that’s, obviously, worked out so well for you so far…lol
Liking one’s own post is something that you probably do, so please refrain from trying(and failing) to project your pathetic behavior onto me. In other words, you’re STILL pissed that others agree with my posts, breaking up the groupthink.
When you reply this time, and you will, try to make your deflection a good one.:)

While you’re at your computer, why not download a life?
@Stephen – since you’re Aussie – you should check out VicHealth’s framework for reducing race-based discrimination.

Oh — I forgot to add – the Syrian refugee was being persecuted for being gay.
He is just arrogant. Not a douche. He didn’t name specific types he would block. Apparently he is simply blocking everybody.

I’m glad someone wanted to spend the time to put me on this site. Atleast I’m worth peoples time. Sadly ur not worth mine.
Oh looks like I get more than 200 characters on here so let me post my real about me. Shall I?
This one seems pretty humorous. What if he’s being sarcastic?
Debbie Downer block douche.
Keep it to yourself and try to show a semblance of some personality. You sound like a jaded drama fag.
Man up, bro.
Matt, take your own advice, bro.:)
Ooooh! Someone’s having a block party!
He’s not a douche. He’s just tired of having to block men he doesn’t find attractive, who can’t take “no” for an answer.
Adam Adam Adam, sounds like u got blocked queen!
LOL @ Tippy.
Thanks, but, I don’t need to read your biography.:)
Its not hate speech, but yes, he is still a douche. Also, Adam, shut up already.
LOL
Make me, Ryan.
Don’t be bitter, just because you’d be one of the first to get blocked.:)
